Mountain Sunrise (for Young Band)

Sale Price: $55.00 Original Price: $65.00

Mountain Sunrise is a piece that embraces the positive energy that we all can be a part of when taking the time to enjoy nature. This piece is a bit lively and cheerful, but mostly importantly the students should focus on having fun!

Performance Notes

Although the dynamics are clearly stated the directoris encouraged to enforce proper blending and a clear balance within parts. mf could be tricky for students to grasp. Therefore, they should be aware that their volume should be softer than others! Critical listening! Students are encouraged to move to the music, especially during the percussion solo! In regards to percussion parts students with a bit more experience may be able to multi-task a couple of the parts. For an example, the the cymbal parts could both be played by one student, provided you use a crash cymbal and suspended cymbal on a stand. Please note that if your school does not have Timpani you may take advantage of the Tom-Tom part.

At rehearsal 42 the q=88 does not have to be exact-try to focus on a round and

strong sound. As always, have FUN
